Self-Care is critical

I know that the phrase Self-Care has been tossed around a lot over the past several years. But, as a leader, I can tell you it's truly important. It is so easy to keep busy, move through the day and forget to do anything for ourselves. If we do this day after day then we begin to feel depleted, and lose energy, passion, and focus. Trust me I have been there. I know that if I take care of myself daily then my energy level is higher. The things I am passionate about stay front and center. I am also able to focus more easily.


I love a good spa day! I fully admit that! Give me a facial, pedicure, and massage any day. But, I also know that getting a good night's sleep, rest, a sip of tea, a few minutes of mediation/prayer, time with someone I love, or a walk outside are also self-care. Self-care can look different for each of us. But, I promise you if you take a few minutes each day to truly care for yourself you won't regret it. What can you do for yourself today?
