Resting into 2025

I don't know about you, but I am moving into 2025 more intentionally than ever before. I am feeling calm, peaceful, and hopeful. I really do believe this is because I am resting more. I am seeing that slowing down is actually a pace I enjoy being in. It's not a slowdown, but it's no longer rushing. As I do less, it's become clear to me that I am "doing" what is most important to me. And just because I can do something doesn't mean it's not worthwhile or amazing, but it's not a priority for me right now. It really feels quite empowering and so wonderful. It has helped me set boundaries that are necessary for my wellbeing. Slowing down has allowed me to take care of things I need to do instead of adding to my lists. I am communicating better and overall feeling better.


Slowing down and resting for me looks something like this: saying no to things even if they sound wonderful and worthwhile without guilt or shame, keeping my calendar much simpler, meditating, praying, napping, sitting in stillness, restorative yoga, and simply being.
