Fall is my favorite season

Fall has always been my favorite season. I adore the cooler temperatures in the mid-west and the beautiful colors of the leaves. I almost can't put my finger on it why I love it so much. There is something about the leaves changing colors and then eventually falling to the ground. It is this perfect time to let go of things that don't serve me any longer. I like to take some additional time during this season to be in nature. I enjoy walks in nature, especially the Kankakee State Park which is near my home. It's a time to journal about what I need to let go of and end the year with intention. I look back over the goals I set at the beginning of the year and see what tweaks I need to make.

Connection is the word I am feeling as 2020 is in the last three months of the year. 2020 has been a year of interesting connection. I am enjoying finding new ways to connect with friends and family. Sometimes it is writing letters, texting, calling, zoom calls, front porch visits and so much more. Connecting with those I love is important to me. During this fall season, I am taking walks with those I love. I am sending small gifts. I am reaching out it in different ways to connect. I am enjoying this fall season.

I am wearing comfy clothes. I am drinking hot tea. I am doing home projects. I am trying new recipes. I am connecting with myself through the connection of yoga. I am taking an 8 week self-care course and a 4 week breath-work course. This is all about connecting with myself so I can grow. As I grow I believe, I can share all that I learn with those I love and my community.
